Quicksilver Cruises is seeking an experienced, capable and motivated Master to join our Marine Operations Team in Port Douglas. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a leading marine tourism operation, operating vessels throughout the spectacular waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Commanding and safely navigating our vessels in line with AMSA requirements and company procedures
- Leading, supervising and coordinating vessel crew
- Making sound decisions in changing seas, weather and operational conditions
- Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Dive Crew and Cruise Attendants
- Delivering an exceptional and professional guest experience
- Leading emergency responses for medical, mechanical, environmental and passenger-related incidents
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Master IV <35 or Master <45m Near Coastal or above
- Marine Engine Driver Qualifications (MED)
- Current CPR (HLTAID009) and Current First Aid (HLTAID011)
- Strong leadership and communications skills
Desirable:
- Minimum 3 years in a similar marine role
- Sound judgment and calm decision making under pressure
