ACT Day Hospital is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art multispecialty day hospital located in the heart of Deakin, Canberra. Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Liaising closely with the Peri operative liaison Nurse regarding surgical booking enquiries.

- Conducting online health fund eligibility checks.

- Preparing uninsured facility quotations.

- Taking electronic payment at time of procedure.

- Managing Informed Financial Consent documentation.

- Responding to patient and clinician enquiries via telephone and email.

- Scanning and uploading documentation into the FYDO practice management system.

- Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records.

- Providing administrative support to ensure efficient patient flow and surgical scheduling.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.





- Professional telephone manner and strong communication skills.

- Ability to prioritise competing tasks in a busy environment.

- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Sound administrative and computer skills.

- Previous experience in medical administration (highly regarded).

- Experience using FYDO practice management software (preferred).

- Experience with surgical bookings, health fund eligibility checks, uninsured quotes, and patient financial discussions will be highly regarded.
