JOHNEX explosives is a 100% Australian owned manufacturer and distributor of high-quality, cutting-edge explosives. As we continue to grow, our Belmont-based head office is seeking a motivated and organised Logistics and Compliance Officer to join our Commercial Team.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in Heavy Vehicle operations or logistics who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and can confidently coordinate transport and freight while maintaining excellent stakeholder communication.

About the Role

Reporting to the Compliance and Supply Chain Advisor you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operation of our logistics and transport activities. Working closely with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams, you will help maintain compliance, support freight coordination, and contribute to the safe and efficient movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

- Heavy Vehicle (HV) journey planning

- Load management planning

- HV audit preparation and record keeping

- Coordination of general freight (road/rail/air)

- General compliance support

- Ordering & coordinating delivery of dangerous goods

- Other tasks related to compliance and supply chain operations

Skills & Experience





- Previous experience with Heavy Vehicle transport operations is essential

- We operate Heavy Vehicles in WA and across Australia, which requires a working knowledge of the WA and National Heavy Vehicle Regulations

- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

- Excellent communication and internal customer service skills

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook essential)

- Experience with Heavy Vehicles or ERP systems (advantageous)

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
