J4 Joinery is seeking an experienced, multi‑skilled cabinetmaker to take a key hands‑on role in our growing joinery business. This position combines factory production, CNC operation, assembly, and on‑site installation. You will work closely with the Director and Production Manager to deliver high‑quality joinery while helping streamline workflow and increase capacity.
This role is ideal for a tradesman who is confident across the full spectrum of joinery tasks — someone who can run machines, assemble efficiently, install professionally, and operate independently when required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Factory Production & CNC Operation
· Operate CNC machinery and panel saws
· Cut, edge, label, and prepare components for assembly
· Maintain accuracy, quality, and efficiency in all production tasks
· Manage workflow to ensure jobs move smoothly through the factory
2. Cabinet Assembly & Job Preparation
· Assemble cabinetry to a high standard
· Prepare jobs for installation, including hardware fitting
· Identify and resolve production issues early
· Maintain a clean, organised, safe workshop environment
3. On‑Site Installation
· On-site installations
· Lead smaller installations independently once familiar with our systems
· Liaise professionally with clients and builders on site
· Ensure installations meet J4 Joinery’s quality and safety standards
4. Workflow Support & Team Collaboration
· Work closely with our team to ensure jobs are delivered on time
· Provide feedback on production improvements and efficiencies
· Support the team with general factory and installation tasks
· Take ownership of your work and operate with minimal supervision
Required Skills & Experience
· Qualified Cabinetmaker / Joiner (Cert III or equivalent)
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in factory production and installation
· Robust CNC and machinery operation skills
· Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and cut lists
· High attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
· Professional communication and client‑facing confidence
· Current driver’s licence
Desirable (Not Essential)
· Ability to lead installations independently
· Experience in commercial joinery or high‑end residential work
· Forklift licence
