Our Works team is seeking energetic, reliable and motivated workers to join our team undertaking a variety of task in the maintenance of roads drains, paths and other public infrastructure. Job Description
As a General Hand Works you will perform a variety of tasks in the construction and maintenance of the Shire's roads, drains, paths, reserves and other public infrastructure.
This includes:
- general labouring,
- traffic control,
- plant operation, and
- plant and equipment maintenance.
Your reliable, flexible attitude and strong work ethic will contribute to our positive team culture, and your safety focus will ensure you and your teammates go home safe every night.

- Base annual salary $67,381 - $72,657 per annum dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications
- Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of 92c per hour on all worked hours and paid leave ($1,817.92 per year)
- Annual leave loading of 17.5%
- Up to 14% Shire superannuation contribution

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:

- Unrestricted HR licence
- White CardExperience in plant operation, including small and large plant (chainsaw, truck, loader, tractor, watercart, roller etc)
- Good level of physical fitness
- Valuable safety awareness
Experience in road construction and maintenance, drainage, concrete and asphalt works will be highly regarded.
