Hitachi is actively seeking a quality-focused individual to join the team in the position of a Modularisation Workshop Fitter on a 7/7 roster at our Forrestdale branch. This opportunity will see you assemble, maintain and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.
You Will Be Responsible For
The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipmentConduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failurePreparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipmentEnsuring all work carried out is performed in a safe mannerCompletion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reportsMaintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company’s 5S standards
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
You will have relevant Mobile Plant (or similar) trade qualificationsHave previous experience with the assembly, overhaul,
repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.Heavy Rigid drivers licence and High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regardedA safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principlesGood communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM
