About the role:
Ready to move beyond traditional software testing? In this role, you'll work directly with embedded systems, sensors and control hardware, tackling real-world engineering challenges and seeing the impact of your work firsthand. You'll have the autonomy to improve testing approaches, contribute to technical decisions, mentor junior engineers and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge technology used by customers around the world.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a degree in Electronic, Mechatronic or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience), experience in software testing and test automation, knowledge of communication protocols, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent time management skills.
Your responsibilities include but not limited to:
Review software requirements to ensure test coverageDesign tests for software being implemented by development teamEmploy test automation methodsPlan and develop test automation offerings to achieve robust solutionsBe involved in manual software testing when requiredWork within the software test team to ensure consistent test methods, approaches and tools are used across RCT products as far as possibleContribute to the review of RCT quality processes in the software test area when requiredReport on progress to stakeholders and Test Team ManagerAssist Test Team Manager with coordination of work within the test team
To be considered for this role you will require the following:
BSc / BEng Electronic / Mechatronic /Software or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years of software testing experienceAt least 2 years of developing a testing framework for automation of testsExperience of creating data sets and streams to simulate inputs to testsEnjoy collaborating with others and building positive working relationships within the teamExcellent time management skillsMethodical, systematic, process driven work practicesTotal customer satisfaction culture and driveDetail and accuracy oriented for self and team
