Umpire, Cricket / Netball / Soccer - Maitland Indoor Sports Centre

The opportunity

Maitland Indoor Sports Centre runs one of the busiest indoor competition calendars in the Hunter, with Cricket, Netball and Soccer fixtures running back-to-back, every weeknight. We're looking for an umpire to be at the centre of that action, officiating our games, backed by training, and working directly for the centre.

This is a genuine second role built for people who already have a day job, study, or other commitments, starting at 6pm.

What the role involves





- Officiating Cricket and/or Netball in line with official rules and regulations

- Making confident, fair calls and keeping games running smoothly and safely

- Managing disputes calmly and professionally, in the moment

- Assisting with equipment set up and pack down

Who we're looking for

- Umpiring experience is highly desirable, whether at club, school, association or representative level

- A strong personal background playing Cricket and/or Netball

- A composed, clear communicator who commands respect on court without needing to raise their voice

- Reliable and punctual. Our players and our roster depend on it

- Holds, or is willing to obtain, a WWCC
