Auctus Training Institute is a progressive, quick-growing RTO based in South Australia committed to changing lives through quality training in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
Due to increased demand for our courses, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer and Assessor to deliver the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) who has the flexibility to train and assess (day and night course delivery options) on a casual or full-time basis.
This position plays a key role in shaping the next generation of vocational trainers and assessors, supporting students to develop their skills in line with national training standards.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
Tasks & responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face and blended training for TAE40122
- Ensure compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2015, relevant training package requirements, and ASQA guidelines
- Provide academic support to learners and adjust delivery to meet varied learning needs, including LLN support
- Participate in moderation and validation processes
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, assessments, and outcomes
- Use and maintain digital learning platforms (e.g. Cloud Assess) and student management systems
- Support continuous improvement in training delivery, learner engagement, and compliance processes
Candidate qualities for the role
Essential
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116)
- TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or its predecessor qualifications:
- TAE50116, TAE50111,
- TAE50216, TAE50211,
- or a higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education)
- Demonstrated experience delivering the TAE40116 or TAE40122 qualification in a classroom or blended environment
- Vocational competency at least to the level being delivered and assessed
- Sound knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2015, ASQA requirements, and training.gov.au
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and support a wide range of adult learners
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training aligned to competency-based principles and adult learning theories
- High-level administrative and organisational skills with the ability to meet required deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online learning platforms
- Current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, and valid driver's licence
- Flexibility to deliver both day and evening sessions as required
- Current industry experience in vocational education and training (within the last 2-3 years)
- Must have the right to work in Australia
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in VET sector within the past 12 months
Desirable
- Experience contributing to internal audits, validation sessions, and training in product resource development
- Knowledge of trends and innovations in vocational education and training
- Experience working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
