The Salvation Army (Salvos) Balga Corps is a Christian Church in the heart of Perth. About the role This role is responsible for delivering COACH (‘Creating Opportunities And Casting Hope’) mentoring program aimed at supporting families doing it tough within the Morley, Balga and Ellenbrook areas, to see them flourish emotionally, socially, economically and spiritually.

Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is a max-term position, offering 22.8 hours per week, until the 31st December, 2026. You will successfully Deliver and coordinate the COACH (Creating Opportunities and Casting Hope) mentoring program in line with The Salvation Army's policies, procedures and licensing requirements.

Recruit, screen, train and support volunteer mentors, ensuring compliance with all recruitment, welfare and safeguarding requirements. Manage participant intake, assessments and referrals, matching participants with suitable mentors and facilitating support agreements. Provide ongoing supervision and review of mentor-participant relationships to promote positive outcomes and program effectiveness.

Maintain accurate records, data and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with program standards. Build and maintain strong partnerships with Salvation Army services, community organisations and referral agencies to strengthen program reach and impact. You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications) A minimum Diploma level qualification and experience in health, welfare or teaching is preferred Experience managing a team of workers Understanding of risk management and duty of care, including in relation to Child Protection matters A
