A well-established family-owned business, located in the Northern Suburbs, is currently looking for an experienced, skilled full-time Senior Fitter & Turner to keep production running smoothly.

This hands-on role involves maintaining and repairing in office machinery, responding to breakdowns, and supporting the team with preventative maintenance. The role is a rotating roster with morning and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities

- Respond quickly to equipment and machinery breakdowns to reduce downtime

- Carry out preventative maintenance across a range of plant and machinery

- Diagnose mechanical faults and decide on the best repair solution

- Repair and replace components, including rebuilding production equipment

- Complete scheduled machinery inspections and raise maintenance requests





- Identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement across site maintenance

- Maintain all safety standards in line with established workplace requirements

Skills and Experience

Ideally, you will have Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker trade qualifications and 10-15 years experience in a similar role. You take pride in delivering quality work, enjoy fixing problems, and will work well as part of a close-knit dedicated maintenance team of six.
Other Skills

- Experience with welding (TIG, MIG and ARC)

- Background in manufacturing or concrete production preferred

- Electrical experience desirable

- Team player who stays calm when things get busy

- Team leadership or supervisory skills desirable

- Able to think quickly and juggle tasks as priorities change
