About the role

Phuong Thanh PTY LTD is seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our dental practices in Inglewood, WA 6052 and Ellenbrook, WA, 6069. Initially this is a part-time position (but potentially leading to full time) offering flexibility whilst supporting our clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care. As an Experienced Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinical operations, maintaining patient comfort, and assisting our dentists in providing excellent dental services. Your expertise and organisational skills will be essential to the success of our practice.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting dentists during clinical procedures, including chairside assistance and instrument handling

2. Preparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and maintaining infection control protocols

3. Recording patient information, treatment notes, and maintaining accurate dental records

4. Providing patient support and education regarding post-treatment care and oral hygiene

5. Managing and scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow throughout the practice

6. Restocking supplies and maintaining inventory of dental materials and equipment

7. Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment

8. Contributing to a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients

9. Have experience assisting with implant and oral surgery procedures.

What we're looking for

1. Cert III/IV or relevant experience as a Dental Assistant in Western Australia (or equivalent)

2. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting

3. Robust knowledge of dental procedures, materials, and instrument sterilisation protocols

4. Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills

5.



Proficiency in dental practice management software and basic computer skills (dental4web)

6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

7. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control

8. Reliable, organised, and able to work collaboratively with the dental team

9. Applicants with reception experience will be highly regarded.
