P6 Planner / Senior P6 Planner

Contract Opportunity | Structural Integrity Project | Rio Tinto Cape Lambert | FIFO WA

An established engineering and maintenance contractor is seeking an experienced P6 Planner or Senior P6 Planner to join a major structural integrity project at Rio Tinto's Cape Lambert operation. This is an excellent opportunity to secure an initial 3-6 month contract with a genuine pathway into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Working closely with the project delivery team, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising Primavera P6 schedules across a complex wharf remediation program involving structural steel maintenance and marine infrastructure.

The Role

This position will see you planning and programming a high-profile structural integrity project, including:

- Developing and maintaining Primavera P6 project schedules
- Planning access, weld repair and surface treatment activities
- Monitoring progress, forecasting and reporting against project milestones
- Identifying schedule risks, constraints and recovery opportunities
- Working closely with project engineers, supervisors and construction teams to optimise delivery
- Producing look-ahead schedules, progress updates and client reporting
- Supporting project controls and continuous schedule improvement

About You

To be successful,



you will ideally possess:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Planning or Senior Planning role within WA's mining and resources sector
- Strong Primavera P6 planning and scheduling experience
- Previous experience planning structural integrity, SMP or maintenance projects
- Exposure to marine, wharf or port infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
- Experience planning works involving structural steel, weld repairs, coatings or surface treatment
- Previous Rio Tinto project experience highly desirable
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong analytical and reporting capability
- Full Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available)
