About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Irrigation and Pump Sales Representative to join our team on a full-time basis in Townsville, QLD 4810. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our sales operations, responsible for identifying customer needs, presenting tailored solutions, and driving revenue growth through the sale of irrigation systems and pump equipment. This position is integral to our business growth strategy and offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our success whilst building strong, long-term customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

1. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the irrigation and pump sector, including residential, commercial, and agricultural customers

2. Conduct needs assessments with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate irrigation and pump solutions

3. Prepare detailed quotations and proposals tailored to customer specifications and budgets

4. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for repeat business and upselling

5. Provide technical product knowledge and guidance to customers,



explaining features, benefits, and installation requirements

6. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and deliver optimal customer outcomes

7. Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and key performance indicators

8. Manage the sales pipeline effectively, tracking leads and opportunities through the sales cycle

9. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our products and services

10. Prepare accurate sales documentation, contracts, and administrative paperwork in a timely manner

What we're looking for

1. Proven sales experience, ideally within the irrigation, pump, agricultural, or construction industry (2+ years preferred)

2. Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, water management solutions, or related technical products

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer bases

4. Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and present compelling, solution-focused sales propositions

5. Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications

Self-motivated and results-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

7. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

8. Full driving licence and reliable transport to visit customer sites across the Townsville region

9. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

10. Willingness to undertake product training and continuous career development
