About the role

Pearl Catering is seeking a talented and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our team at our Bowral location. This is a full-time position based in Bowral, NSW 2576. In this role, you will be responsible for creating exceptional breakfast experiences for our guests, setting the tone for their day with high-quality, delicious morning cuisine. As Breakfast Chef, you will play a vital part in maintaining Pearl Catering's reputation for excellence and ensuring our guests start their day with memorable meals prepared to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and cooking a diverse range of breakfast dishes, from continental selections to full cooked breakfasts, ensuring consistency and quality across all offerings

2. Managing mise en place and kitchen preparation to ensure smooth service during breakfast service periods

3. Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

4. Monitoring ingredient stock levels and coordinating with suppliers to ensure fresh, quality ingredients are available

5. Collaborating with the wider kitchen team to prepare the venue for upcoming events

What we're looking for

1. Strong culinary skills with expertise in breakfast preparation, including both hot and cold dishes

2. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and health and hygiene regulations

3. Excellent time management and organisational abilities to manage multiple orders during busy service periods

4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also taking independent initiative

5.



Professional approach to customer service and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals

6. Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods, lift items and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

7. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (preferred but not essential)

8. Experience working in hotels, hospitality venues or catering operations (preferred)

9. Understanding of dietary requirements and allergies, with ability to accommodate special requests
