Are you a highly organised, solutions-focused professional who thrives in a quick-paced executive environment? We’re looking for an exceptional Executive Coordinator on a temporary 12 month contract (possibility of ongoing) to play a pivotal role at the centre of parliamentary operations, supporting executive leadership, and enabling the smooth functioning of a dynamic and high-profile office.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the effective delivery of services that underpin South Australia’s parliamentary system—working at the heart of decision-making, coordination, and governance.

About the role

As Executive Coordinator, you will provide high-level executive, administrative, and coordination support to the senior executive of the Joint Parliamentary Service. You will act as a trusted point of contact, exercising judgment to ensure priorities are managed seamlessly, communications are handled with discretion, and business operations run efficiently.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver proactive, high-quality executive support to the Executive Officer, exercising judgment in strategic diary and priority management.
- Manage and coordinate workflows across the Office of the Executive Officer, triaging matters across divisions in line with strategic priorities and organisational commitments.
- Coordinate and quality-assure briefings (including Joint Parliamentary Service Committee briefings), correspondence, and documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and timeliness to support informed decision-making.




- Synthesise complex information into clear concise summaries and communications.
- Facilitate communication across parliamentary offices, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Support the planning and delivery of meetings, committees, and key events.
- Manage sensitive information with professionalism, judgment, and confidentiality.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinating and overseeing strategic and operational projects to support delivery, manage risks, and inform executive decision-making
