WHS & Wellbeing Coordinator

Edward River Council is seeking an experienced and passionate WHS & Wellbeing Coordinator to lead the delivery of workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisational culture, drive continuous improvement, and support a safe, healthy and resilient workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Council's WHS and wellbeing framework.

- Provide expert WHS advice to management, executive teams and committees.

- Develop and implement workplace wellbeing initiatives with a focus on psychosocial health and wellbeing.

- Coordinate WHS audits, inspections, training programs, emergency management planning and compliance activities.

- Lead incident investigations and support the implementation of corrective actions and risk controls.

- Monitor, analyse and report on WHS performance, trends and compliance outcomes.

- Support Return to Work practices and injury management initiatives.

- Foster a positive safety culture through coaching, consultation,



engagement and education across the organisation.

What You Will Bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Risk Management or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

- Minimum three years' experience working with WHS management systems and continuous improvement programs.

- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

- Experience developing and implementing WHS and wellbeing policies, procedures and initiatives.

- Demonstrated ability to influence organisational safety culture and drive positive change.

- Excellent communication, relationship-building, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Working with Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain.

- Current Driver Licence.
