Associated Airconditioning is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Mechanical Services Estimator to join our team based in Wangara, WA. This full-time role is crucial in supporting the strategic objectives of our business operating in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for HVAC, mechanical and other related projects
- Liaise with clients, project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications
- Conduct site inspections, measurements and cost analysis to develop accurate and competitive estimates
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications and other project documentation
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure estimates align with delivery capabilities
- Monitor project costs and profitability, providing regular updates to management
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, technology advancements and market trends
What we're looking for
- Significant experience (minimum 5 years) as an HVAC/mechanical estimator or project coordinator
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, building services and associated legislation (BCA)
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and manuals
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills to develop accurate estimates and budgets
- Proficient in using estimating software and other relevant computer applications
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Relevant industry qualifications or certifications are highly regarded
