About the Role:

We have numerous expected vacancies for Asset Protection Officer’s in relation to several upcoming projects in the Chinchilla region. Due to the nature of the positions, there is a preference for local applicants, however candidates will be considered for DIDO from either Brisbane or Toowoomba.

As an Asset Protection Officers, you will be a proactive and motivated security professional with a passion for protecting others and always maintaining safety. Typical duties will include vehicle, and on foot security patrols, gate house operations and drug and alcohol testing.

Travel Type for DIDO: DIDO from Brisbane & Toowoomba

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out all vehicle and foot security patrols to a high standard, ensuring accurate post patrol reports are documented.

- Operate Security equipment including CCTV, access control systems, general office equipment, radios and cameras in a safe and reliable manner.

- Carry out gatehouse duties as required

- Complete Drug & Alcohol Testing as required

- Conduct required administrative duties in a timely and concise manner

- Conduct contractor inductions, onsite training and vehicle pre-start checklists

- Participate in regular toolbox talks, safety and on the job training/professional development sessions.

- Assist in the maintenance of site assets and vehicles, to ensure compliance with site requirements.

- Assist with the management of the on-site first aid room

- Conduct required administrative duties in a timely and concise manner

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications: For any qualifications noted below,

- Certificate II in Security Operations

- Current QLD Security Officer’s Licence Class 1 (Unarmed and monitoring)

- Current unrestricted QLD Manual Driver’s Licence

- HLTPAT005 or HLTPAT010 Drug and Alcohol Certificate (Or Willing to Obtain)

- Current HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

- Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

- Proof of Working Rights in Australia (Birth Certificate, Passport or Visa)

Desirable:

- HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid

- HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy

- HLTAID016 Manage first aid services and resources
