Downer is seeking an experience Project Engineer SMP to join their expanding Energy & Utilities team in Perth WA.

About the Role
The Project Engineer / QAQC is responsible for coordinating the safe, compliant and efficient execution of project works while acting as the site focal point for Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities. The role ensures project scope is delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, project schedules, approved specifications, quality management systems, client standards, budget targets and Downer's Zero Harm requirements. The position provides leadership in quality compliance, inspection management, completion documentation, defect management and project handover activities. The successful candidate can envision themselves attending to duties such as:
Coordinate and manage daily project execution activities between supervisors, trades subcontractorsMonitor progress against schedule and identify risks, constraints and opportunitiesProvide timely reporting to Project Manager: PRAPs, weekly status, monthly summariesAct as the project QA/QC Lead and site focal point for all quality-related mattersDevelop, review and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs),
Inspection Test Records (ITRs), quality procedures and check sheetsCoordinate mechanical completion and project turnover activitiesSupport procurement planning and subcontractor selection in line with guidance from Project Manager and Contract ManagerSupport vendor management, technical clarifications, and commissioning assistanceAbout You
Tertiary qualifications in EngineeringMinimum 5 years' experience delivering industrial construction, maintenance or brownfields projectsFIFO site experience within oil & gas, mining, energy or heavy industrial environmentsStrong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemsDemonstrated experience in Project Engineering, with exposure to QA/QC activities highly regardedKnowledge of project completions and turnover processesDemonstrated understanding of OHS legislation, principles and practicesProven ability to forecast project schedules and determine variationsAbility to work a 2:2 rosterWhat We Offer
