Engineering Manager (Telecommunications & Electrical Infrastructure)
About the Role:Join a leading Australian communications technology integrator as their experienced Engineering Manager to lead their engineering function across the design, planning, and technical delivery of telecommunications, electrical & industrial infrastructure projects.This is a senior technical leadership role, owning engineering governance, quality, and people management to ensure every solution delivered is safe, compliant, commercially sound, and built to the highest standard.You'll work closely with Project Delivery, SHEQ, Bids & Tenders, and Operations to ensure engineering supports successful project execution from tender through to commissioning, while driving continuous improvement and technical excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering teamEstablish engineering standards, processes, and best practice across the businessProvide engineering leadership through tendering, execution, and project close-outAct as technical authority for engineering decisions, risk, and design complianceReview and approve engineering designs, calculations, and documentationCoordinate engineering activity across communications, electrical, and associated infrastructureManage engineering budgets, resourcing, and productivity across concurrent projectsBuild and maintain strong client, supplier, and subcontractor relationshipsSupport estimating, tender preparation,



and value engineering initiativesChampion a strong safety-in-design culture across all engineering output
About You:Bachelor's or Master's degree in EngineeringMIEAust (or eligibility) with Engineers Australia; CPEng highly regarded10+ years' engineering experience in Telecommunications, Mining, Oil & Gas, or heavy industry5+ years in an Engineering Management or senior technical leadership role, building high-performing multidisciplinary teamsExposure to EPC / EPCM contracting environmentsProject management experienceStrong understanding of communications and electrical infrastructure systemsExperience delivering brownfield and greenfield industrial projectsSound knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant legislationExcellent stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and communication skillsCurrent C-Class driver's licence
