Job Title: Finance Officer

Classification: Accounting - Bookkeeping & Small Business Accounts

Work Type: Permanent Part Time – 30 hours per week

Location: Meals on Wheels, Rockhampton

Rate : $35-$40 per hour

About Us

Meals on Wheels Rockhampton is a small, but dynamic Not-for-Profit team, and we are looking for a reliable, all-rounder finance professional to take absolute ownership of the finance for our organisation.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Business and Operations Manager, you will run our entire finance function, along with supporting the daily workflow of the Administration office.

Key Responsibilities

- Day-to-Day Transactional: Full Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations via Xero, and credit card management.

- Payroll & Superannuation: End-to-end payroll processing, leave tracking, Single Touch Payroll (STP) filing, WorkCover management,



and superannuation compliance.

- Taxation: Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS).

- Data : Experience in exporting and importing data between programs

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Finance Officer, or Finance Manager (NFP sector/small business experience highly regarded).

- Advanced proficiency in Xero

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data for non-financial staff and Committee members.

- Ability to work well within a small team environment.
