Are you looking for a role with autonomy, in a technically challenging underground setting?

We are currently seeking a skilled Underground Geotechnical Engineer to join our Northern Operations on an 8/6 FIFO roster. This is an excellent full-time opportunity, where you'll play a critical role in maintaining ground stability, managing geotechnical risk, and supporting safe production.

This is a hands-on, site-based position where your expertise will directly influence operational outcomes, working closely with Technical Services and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct and interpret geotechnical investigations and monitoringAssess and manage stope stability, ground conditions, and geotechnical risksProvide recommendations on designs, ground support, and excavation methodsDevelop and maintain geotechnical models and hazard management plansConduct regular site inspections and auditsCollaborate closely with mining, geology, and operations teamsPrepare technical reports and documentation to support site performance

About You

Degree in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering,



or equivalentStrong commitment to safety and risk managementProficiency in Deswik or similar CAD/mining design softwareExperience with Rocscience software (e.g., Unwedge, Dips)Competence in geotechnical monitoring, data interpretation, and reportingUnderstanding of ground support systems and QAQC processesSolid working knowledge of underground mining methods and geotechnical practicesMust hold a valid manual drivers license
