TLS Consulting is seeking experienced Senior Business Analysts and Senior Test Analysts to support a major Australian Government agency on long-term, nationally significant technology programmes.
These roles offer the prospect to work alongside highly capable professionals, contribute to complex ICT initiatives and play a key role in delivering secure, high-quality solutions that support Australia’s national policing capability.
Senior Business Analyst
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will provide leadership across the business analysis function and work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver improved business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for providing leadership and direction to ensure a high level of integration and consistency across the business analysis function.
- Accountable for managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, workflows, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes.
- Manage the design and execution of business process tests, usability evaluations, networks and business trials, confidence tests.
- Responsible for business analysis within a significant segment of an organisation where the advice given, and decisions made will have a measurable impact on the profitability or effectiveness of the organisation.
- Advise stakeholders and colleagues on the choice of techniques, tools and processes required for modelling and analysis activities and tasks.
- Draw upon knowledge of business analysis methods and techniques, modelling and quality assurance techniques to understand and articulate business processes and contribute to business outcomes.
- Engage and influence senior leadership and provide the key link between senior executives and business stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify their needs, reach agreement on business objectives and gain commitment to achieving results.
- Analyse complex ICT business issues, applying expertise to identify and recommend courses of action.
- Assess and evaluate ICT business improvement processes, strategies, initiatives, projects, policies and procedures.
- Investigate business needs, problems and opportunities and recommend effective business processes.
- Deliver business cases defining potential benefits and options for achieving those benefits through new or changed processes.
- Work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Provide knowledge and skills transfer to other team members.
Technical skills
Technical skills candidates would need to have (including but not limited to) are listed below:
- Requirements elicitation and management
- Business process analysis and design
- ICT Infrastructure and Network knowledge
- Traceability and assurance documentation
- Stakeholder engagement and facilitation
Criteria
The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters.
Essential criteria (to be addressed collectively with us)
1. Solution: The extent to which the potential supplier’s response meets the Client's requirements as set out in the ATM documents. (34%)
2. Ability to deliver: The extent to which the potential supplier demonstrates its capability and capacity to provide the requirements. (33%)
3. Whole of life costs: The whole of life costs for the Client. Evaluation includes the quoted price and any costs the Client will incur after accepting the potential supplier’s response. (33%)
Senior Test Analyst
As a Senior Test Analyst, you will ensure technology solutions are thoroughly tested and delivered to the highest quality standards through both manual and automated testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure testing outputs are achieved in accordance with strategic programme objectives.
- Create, review and execute manual and automated test cases (functional and non-functional), test scenarios, compose defect reports and manage failed test backlogs.
- Utilise automated testing software to improve testing capability.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts and vendor personnel to review requirements and define test conditions.
- Apply knowledge of software development processes throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Create, execute and maintain test scripts to ensure quality control standards are achieved.
- Identify, analyse and resolve issues impacting applications, ensuring defects are successfully remediated and promoted to production.
- Review and report on test activities and outcomes.
- Maintain information management standards consistent with Government requirements.
Technical skills
- Technical skills candidates would need to have (including but not limited to) are listed below:
