Run your own sites. Manage the client. Lead a team.
SilverPeak Construction is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to take ownership of our renovation and extension projects across Moorabool, Ballarat, Macedon, Hepburn, and Melbourne's western and northern suburbs.
This is a supervision and site management role. You'll be running the programme, coordinating trades, managing our onsite team, and holding the quality standard on every job that carries our name.
You'll also be the face of SilverPeak to our clients. Renovation work happens in people's homes, often while they're still living in them, and how a client feels about their project has as much to do with communication as it does with the build. If you'd rather deal with trades than homeowners, this isn't the role for you.
What you'll own
- Full day-to-day control of your sites, including programme, sequencing, trade coordination, and quality
- Running pre-start meetings, site meetings, and progress walkthroughs with clients, trades, and consultants
- The client relationship on every job you run, from site establishment through to handover
- Regular client updates, managing expectations, and resolving concerns before they escalate
- Walking clients through variations, delays, and site decisions clearly and confidently
- Quality control, progressive inspections, and defect management through to handover
- Managing subcontractors and holding them to our standards, not theirs
- Site safety and OHS compliance
- Liaising with architects, designers, consultants, and suppliers
- Mentoring our onsite staff and lifting their capability
What you need
- 2 to 3 years running residential sites, whether as a supervisor, leading hand, or working foreman
- Genuine renovation and extension experience.
Existing homes behave differently to recent builds and we need someone who has dealt with the surprises
- Strong client-facing communication skills and the confidence to have difficult conversations early rather than avoid them
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and keep a programme on track
- Comfortable with computers and project software. We run digital job management and you'll be in it daily
- Sound knowledge of OHS, the NCC, and residential building standards
- Current White Card and driver's licence
Highly regarded
- A trade background in any construction discipline
- Cert IV or Diploma in Building and Construction
- Experience with NDIS or accessible modification work
- Registered Building Practitioner
What we offer
- $100,000 to $120,000 depending on experience, above the local market rate for this role, with the top of the band available for the right person
- Fully maintained vehicle, fuel card, phone, and uniform
- An additional paid week off over our Christmas shutdown after 12 months with us, on top of your standard annual leave
- A paid day off on your birthday
- Permanent full-time position with a stable pipeline of work
- Direct access to me. No layers of management between you and decisions
- Real career progression. We are building toward a multi-territory model and there is genuine scope for the right person to grow well beyond this role
A realistic word on travel
Our work spans up to 60km from Bacchus Marsh. Some weeks you'll be local, some weeks you'll be further out. You get a vehicle and fuel card, and we plan schedules to minimise pointless driving, but if long stretches behind the wheel aren't for you, this role will frustrate you.

How to apply
Send your resume and a short note covering two things: the largest renovation or extension you've personally supervised start to finish, and one project that went wrong and what you did about it. Applications without that note won't be reviewed.
