Job Description

Our client is looking for a new subcontract manager for an exciting project. Your new company A leading organisation within a complex, project-based environment is seeking an experienced Subcontracts Manager to support the successful delivery of major programmes. Working as part of a high-performing commercial team, you will play a key role in managing strategic supplier relationships and subcontracting activities.

Your new role Lead supplier evaluations, sourcing activities and commercial recommendations to support project objectives. Negotiate and execute supplier agreements, subcontracts and purchase orders in accordance with established governance and delegation frameworks.

Manage commercial subcontract meetings and facilitate contractual changes while ensuring compliance with schedule, quality, safety, risk and cost requirements. Provide commercial guidance within integrated project teams and support operational subcontract management activities. Oversee subcontract administration, including progress claims, payment assessments, variations, warranties, notices and contract amendments.

Monitor subcontractor cost and value forecasts, ensuring accurate reporting and commercial oversight. Build, lead and develop team capability to meet business and project requirements. What you'll need to succeed





Proven experience in subcontract, contract or commercial management within a complex project environment. Strong commercial and contractual acumen with demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and supplier management. Ability to influence and engage effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience building strong supplier relationships and working within cross-functional project teams. Previous defence industry experience will be highly regarded. CIPS qualifications or working towards certification will be advantageous.

Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances. Eligibility to meet applicable export control and regulatory requirements. What you'll get in return
