About the Role

- Location: Based in Old Beach at our beautiful child and family service; telehealth and outreach at a child's school is also an option

- Hours: 2–3 days per week, with flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle

- Type: Contractor or Casual position, maternity leave cover 6-12 month contract

- Client Load: 10–15 clients per week

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with qualifications in:

- Counselling

- Social Work

- Psychology

- Speech Therapy

- Occupational Therapy

- Early Childhood Education

- Expressive Therapies (post-tertiary qualifications in art, play, or music therapy)

What we need from you:





- Relevant qualifications at a tertiary level for the position you are applying for

- A Bachelor or Master level qualification in a relevant mental health or allied health field (e.g. Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Play Therapy). Please note: A Diploma in Counselling may be considered.

- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting children and families in a therapeutic or educational context

- Current membership or registration with your professional governing body

- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card and National Police Check

- Public Liability and Indemnity Insurance (up to $10 million) for contractors

- An active ABN for invoicing purposes (if applying as a contractor)

- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work respectfully with families and stakeholders

- Excellent documentation and report writing skills with attention to clinical detail

- A demonstrated commitment to child safety, trauma informed practice, confidentiality, and ethical best practice
