The chance
We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Advisor to join our Power Projects team within Energy and Utilities. Reporting to the Head of Quality, Governance and Support Services, this role plays a critical part in supporting training compliance, competency management, apprenticeship programs, and plant risk management systems across the business.
As the Compliance Advisor, you will work closely with operational teams, leaders, clients, Registered Training Organisations, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure workforce competency requirements are maintained,, and compliance obligations are met.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating training delivery and liaising with Registered Training OrganisationsManaging training bookings, schedules, venues, and resourcesSupporting induction and training program implementationConducting Training Needs Analysis activities and maintaining competency requirementsAdministering competency management systems and employee profilesMonitoring compliance, licences, qualifications, and certification expiry datesPreparing training and compliance reports for business stakeholdersSupporting ongoing workforce capability and compliance initiatives across Power Projects
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience in a similar compliance, training, competency, or workforce administration roleStrong understanding of training records management, compliance monitoring, and auditing processesExperience developing and maintaining competency or skills matricesExperience working within large, diverse organisationsStrong communication, stakeholder engagement,
and customer service skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong planning and organisational capabilityAbility to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environmentSolutions focused approach and adaptability in a changing environmentProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience with plant management systems or competency management systems will be highly regardedCertificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
