Join Our Team as a Disability Support Worker
As a Disability Support Worker, you won’t just be completing tasks—you will be an empowering mentor, helping participants build vital life skills, gain independence, and thrive in their local communities.

What You’ll Do
Empower Independence: Work collaboratively with participants to build life skills, achieve personal goals, and foster self-determination.
Connect & Engage: Be the bridge to the community by supporting clients at social events, employment opportunities, and recreational activities.
Provide Meaningful Support: Act as a trusted companion, offering vital emotional support and a compassionate ear.
Facilitate Daily Living: Assist with day-to-day essentials like meal prep, personal care, and safe transport to appointments.
Collaborate for Care: Work closely with families and healthcare professionals to implement individualized,
person-centred care plans.
What You Bring to the Team
·A compassionate, patient, and highly empathetic nature.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference.
·Adaptability and a calm approach when handling challenging behaviours or situations.
·An understanding of person-centred practice, disability rights, and NDIS safeguarding.
·An unrestricted driver’s license, reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle, and a smartphone.
Qualifications
- ·Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Certification in disability support or a related field is preferred.
- A Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent is highly regarded.
The Essentials Because we are deeply committed to participant safety, this risk-assessed role requires the following clearances and training (or a willingness to obtain them):
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Recent National Police Check (no more than 12 weeks old)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Completion of all mandatory NDIS training modules
