Job Description

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager - MICE to join our team and play a key role in growing business opportunities for one of the Hunter Valley’s premier resort destinations.

As the Business Development Manager - MICE, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and driving revenue growth across corporate, meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) segments. With a focus on both current business development and account management, you will position Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort as a leading destination for conferences, retreats, group stays, and corporate experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase corporate and MICE revenue for Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, industry events, and targeted sales activity.




- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and key industry partners.
- Manage and grow existing accounts to maximise repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and familiarisation visits to showcase the resort’s accommodation, conference facilities, golf, and leisure offerings.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure group bookings and events.
- Collaborate with operational teams including Events, Front Office, Reservations, and Revenue to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain strong market knowledge, monitor competitor activity, and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reporting, forecasts, and pipeline activity.
