Aurora ARC is currently seeking experienced High Voltage Electricians – Testing & Commissioning for a major wind farm construction project in New South Wales. This role will focus on the testing, commissioning and energisation of wind turbine electrical systems, transformers, protection relays and associated high-voltage infrastructure. This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale renewable energy project and play a key role in bringing new wind generation assets online.

Key Responsibilities

- Dry-type transformer testing and commissioning
- Core insulation resistance testing
- Transformer turns ratio (TTR) testing
- Converter current transformer (CT) testing
- Current transformer testing and verification
- Transformer protection relay testing
- Relay final primary injection testing
- MV side Power Quality Meter (PQM) testing
- LV side Power Quality Meter (PQM) testing
- 6kV transformer testing and commissioning
- 690V transformer testing and commissioning
- Completion of test reports and commissioning documentation
- Fault finding and rectification support during energisation activities
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, Australian Standards and site safety requirements

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- NSW Electrical Licence
- High Voltage Switching and/or HV Operations qualifications




- Proven experience in HV testing and commissioning environments
- Experience with transformer testing, protection systems and relay testing
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, protection schematics and commissioning documentation
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Construction White Card
- Current driver’s licence
- Previous wind farm, renewable energy, substation or major infrastructure project experience highly regarded
