The Role

Reporting to the Head of Discipline – Electrical - Oceania, the successful applicant will be part of a busy project team delivering brownfields oil & gas modification projects for our client.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities, acting as a technical focal point or Lead Engineer while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Manage and optimise the performance of engineering and design teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support.
- Deliver electrical engineering solutions across front-end and detailed design projects within the Oil & Gas industry, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Oversee the design and specification of MV/LV power distribution systems, including motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, protection schemes, and power management systems.
- Review and validate power system studies, protective device settings, and electrical modelling outputs using software such as ETAP, PowerFactory, or SKM.
- Plan, coordinate,



and execute project deliverables within agreed budgets and schedules, working closely with project and discipline engineers and managing design changes.
- Support safe project delivery through hazardous area compliance, preparation of safety-critical engineering documentation, project close-out activities, and adherence to change management processes.

- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc/ M.Sc/ B.Eng)
- Chartered Engineer, CPEng registration.
- Should have over 12+ years of post-graduate experience, with 9 years in the O&G; or petrochemical industry
- RPEQ preferred
- Valuable communication skills. Capable of communicating and interfacing effectively with other disciplines, project managers, and clients’ representatives
