- Prepare, mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to standard recipes, with correct glassware, garnish and presentation
- Craft signature cocktails with creativity and knowledge of current beverage trends
- Recommend cocktails, wines and beers that enhance the guest experience, and promote seasonal offerings and specials
- Deliver friendly, professional service in line with Sofitel brand standards, anticipating guest needs and handling feedback promptly
- Take orders accurately and promptly, using suggestive selling to maximise sales
- Present bills and process payments securely and accurately
- Maintain stock levels through regular inventory checks, control usage and minimise wastage
- Operate the MICROS POS system and report any discrepancies to Supervisors
- Keep the bar and service areas clean and equipment in valuable working order, in compliance with health, safety and liquor laws
- Set up and pack down the venue, and restock to stay service-ready throughout the shift
- Work closely with kitchen, floor and management to keep service running smoothly, attending briefings as required
