We are seeking a qualified and committed Chef to join our dynamic kitchen teamand support our growing operations. The Chef will be responsible for planning, organising, and supervising the preparation andcooking of food in a busy dining environment. This role requires robust culinary skills, the ability towork in a fast-paced kitchen, and a passion for maintaining high food standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Menu Planning & Cost Management

1. Planning menus and ensuring dishes align with restaurant standards
2. Estimating food and labour costs for menu items
3. Ordering and managing food supplies to ensure stock availability

Food Preparation & Cooking

1. Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high standards
2. Monitoring the quality of dishes throughout preparation, cooking, and presentation stages
3. Freezing, storing, and preserving food in line with hygiene and safety regulations

Operational & Safety Compliance

1. Explaining, implementing,



and enforcing food hygiene and safety standards
2. Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and proper equipment handling
3. Maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations

Communication & Teamwork

1. Discussing food preparation matters with Managers, Dietitians, kitchen staff, and waitingstaff
2. Demonstrating culinary techniques and advising staff on cooking procedures
3. Assisting in the selection, training, and supervision of kitchen staff when required.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role, candidates should ideally have:

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field(ANZSCO Skill Level 2) Orrelevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen or similar food service environment.
