Job Description

We are seeking a versatile and experienced HR Superintendent for a site-based role supporting our Steelmaking Coal operations. This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity with the possibility of permanent continuation, subject to ongoing business requirements and approval.

Working closely with operational leaders and the broader People and Capability team, you will lead practical people solutions, support change and help the business navigate workforce and organisational priorities in a safe, productive and sustainable way.

This is a hands-on role suited to an adaptable HR leader who can move comfortably between strategic and operational matters, build credibility on site and provide clear advice across a broad range of workforce issues.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will:

- Lead and support the delivery of site-based HR services.
- Partner with leaders to understand operational and workforce requirements.
- Provide practical advice across employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, workforce planning, organisational change and business transition activities.




- Support leaders with the consistent application of company policies, procedures and employment conditions.
- Manage complex and sensitive employee matters in a skilled and respectful way.
- Support workforce capability, succession planning and employee development activities.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Employee Relations and other specialist teams.
- Build effective relationships with employees, site leaders, unions and key stakeholders.
- Support the business through changes in ownership or operating arrangements, including workforce communication, consultation and transition activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience and business performance.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.

The Human Resources Superintendent also provides leadership in managing and influencing the organisation to achieve the efficient use of business assets and human resources, including supporting the mine training and competence framework.
