The role:
Are you an experienced grader operator who knows how to get the job done right? We're looking for a skilled and reliable operator to join our Works Delivery Team as a Grader Team Leader.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of time behind the controls, operating and maintaining a grader across a range of road construction and maintenance works throughout the Scone and Murrurundi areas.

We're looking for someone who knows their machine, can work confidently across different conditions and takes pride in producing a quality finish. You'll work alongside an experienced crew focused on getting the job done safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

If you're a capable grader operator looking for secure, permanent work and the opportunity to put your skills to good use, we'd like to hear from you.

What’s on offer:
- A salary range from $1318.70 – $1476.90 per 38 hour week (based on relevant skills and experience) + 12% superannuation + allowances. If you're a highly experienced grader operator, we'd still like to hear from you even if your salary expectations are above the advertised range. Get in touch and let's have a conversation.
- A true 38 hour working week, Monday – Friday with the opportunity for overtime if desired.
- Fortnightly Rostered Day Off (working a 9-day fortnight).
- Four weeks of Annual Leave per year.
- Access to Long Service Leave after five years.
- Training and upskilling opportunities.
- Salary sacrifice options.
- Secure, permanent employment with Council.

What we need from you:
- Demonstrated experience operating a grader in road construction and maintenance.
- The ability to achieve a quality finish across a range of road and ground conditions.
- Good knowledge of grader operation, daily checks and basic maintenance.
- A strong understanding of safe work practices around plant, machinery and roadworks.
- The ability to work well as part of a crew and get on with the job.

- A current driver's licence and relevant plant competencies/tickets.
- A reliable, practical approach and pride in the quality of your work.
- Experience providing guidance to other crew members would be well regarded.
