Operating from a modern corporate office near Dandenong, our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Roof Scheduler to join their operations team.

The role offers the opportunity to become a key member of the company's operations team, leading scheduling coordination, overseeing operational performance, managing workforce planning, and contributing to business growth. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, some leadership experience , and previous hands-on plumbing or roofing experience , who can drive results while maintaining a positive team culture. The role is office-based and may be an ideal opportunity for someone with hands-on trade experience in roofing or plumbing who is looking to transition into a leadership and coordination role.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage the scheduling of installers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, site supervisors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the performance and day-to-day management of operational teams, ensuring productivity, accountability, and service delivery targets are achieved.
- Manage scheduling changes, workforce availability, and project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Support team members through coaching, guidance, and performance management.




- Monitor job progress, identify operational challenges, and implement solutions to minimise delays and improve efficiency.
- Ensure documentation, schedules, and job records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
- Drive accountability, communication, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Assist with planning, resource allocation, and workforce management to achieve business objectives.

Your Profile

- A trade qualification or hands-on experience in roofing or plumbing (highly desirable).
- Previous experience in scheduling, construction administration, workforce planning, logistics, or a similar operational role.
- Some leadership, supervisory, or management experience is preferred.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A positive, proactive, and solutions-focused attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Process-driven with a desire to improve systems and team performance.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and scheduling or job management software.
