HIB Electrical, Air & Solar is a growing, locally owned Tasmanian business looking for a quality A Grade Electrician to join our team.

We're not looking for someone who just wants to turn up, do the minimum and go home. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety, looks after customers and wants to be part of a good team.

What You'll Be Doing

The work is varied, which means you'll never be stuck doing the same thing every day.

Depending on your experience and interests, you'll be involved in:

- Residential electrical installations and maintenance

- Commercial electrical work

- Fault finding and repairs

- Switchboard upgrades and testing

- New homes and renovations

- Split system and ducted air conditioning

- Solar PV and battery installations

- Electrical maintenance

- Working directly with customers, builders and other trades

- Supporting and mentoring apprentices





You don't need to be experienced in everything.

If you're a solid electrician who wants to learn more about solar, batteries or air conditioning, we'll support you with the training.

What We're Looking For
Essential

- Current A Grade Electrical Licence

- Current driver's licence

- White Card

- Valuable fault-finding and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Pride in your workmanship

- Reliable and professional attitude

Bonus Skills

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Solar installations

- Battery storage

- Split systems

- Ducted air conditioning

- Refrigerant Handling Licence

- Commercial electrical work

- Switchboard upgrades

- Supervising or mentoring apprentices
