Position Details:

- Work type: Permanent Part-time (12 hours each week)

- Salary Range: QLGIA (Stream B, Level A1-A6) $31.68 – $33.16 an hour + 12% Superannuation

- Location: Biggenden

- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday / 4 hours each day

About the Role

The North Burnett regional Council is seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner to join our team in Biggenden.

This role is responsible for the cleaning and general maintenance of Council premises, facilities and amenities, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and in accordance with programmed requirements.

This is a permanent, part-time opportunity – for 12 hours each week / 2pm-6pm, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.





Key responsibilities include:

- Vacuuming, dusting and mopping

- Weeding, spraying and removal and disposal of litter

- Cleaning and general maintenance of Council premises and amenities

- Safely operating and maintaining commercial plant, equipment and tools

- Maintaining accurate records of completed work, maintenance schedules and chemical usage

- Undertaking other relevant duties within the scope of the position as required

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Is reliable, self-motivated and proactive

- Works well as part of a team and maintains positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

- Has positive basic literacy, numeracy and verbal communication skills

- Can work effectively with limited supervision and organise their own workload

- Is able to undertake routine operational tasks safely and within required timeframes

- Is physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including working in noisy environments

- Has experience operating and maintaining relevant plant, equipment and tools

- Is committed to workplace health and safety and following Council procedures and policies

Qualifications & Requirements

- Unrestricted Class C Driver Licence





- White Card – Work Health and Safety Construction Industry Induction

- ACDC / Commercial Operator’s Licence
