About the role

We are seeking an experienced Formworkers and labourers to join our team on a full-time basis in Palm Beach, QLD 4221. As a Formworker, you will play a crucial role in the construction process, creating temporary structures that support concrete during pouring and curing. This position is essential to ensuring project quality, safety and timeline adherence across our diverse range of building projects. You will work alongside a skilled team of tradespeople, contributing your expertise to deliver professional results on residential, commercial and infrastructure developments.

Key responsibilities

- Measure, cut and shape timber and other materials to precise specifications using hand tools and power tools

- Construct formwork and temporary structures that meet structural requirements and building codes

- Position and secure formwork to ensure proper alignment and support for concrete pouring

- Install and dismantle formwork systems efficiently and safely following project timelines

- Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to accurately execute formwork design

- Inspect formwork for structural integrity, defects and safety hazards before use

- Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on formwork tasks

- Collaborate with other tradespeople, site supervisors and project managers to ensure seamless workflow

- Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment

- Assist in the setup and organisation of work areas, tools and materials on construction sites

What we're looking for

- Trade qualification or formal apprenticeship in formwork, carpentry or a related building trade





- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in formwork construction or carpentry within the building trades sector

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and formwork systems commonly used in modern construction

- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications

- Solid understanding of building codes, structural requirements and workplace health and safety standards

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure exact, quality workmanship

- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending and working at heights

- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude with a commitment to safety on site

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a construction team

- Current First Aid Certificate and White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain them

- Valid driver's licence and own transport to site locations (desirable)
