VEEM leads the world in manufacturing monobloc marine propellers and shaft lines. Currently we are rolling out the new VEEM Extreme range of high tensile alloy propulsion systems that represent fuel savings of around 25% over current commercial systems.

This is a semi technical role in working with customers to establish their needs, work with our design engineers to create the best system and then manage work with the manufacturing team to effect the job. It is an opportunity for someone who has an interest in boats and engineering and wishes to become a member of the world champions in propulsion products. We make propellers from 500mm up to 4.6m in diameter in a heavily automated, around the clock, lights off factory, which is the most advanced in the world.

You will work with some of the most respected operators and professionals in the marine industry — including our established international sales network, superyacht captains and engineers, commercial vessel operators, naval architects, shipyards, marine engineers, boat builders, and owners of high-performance recreational vessels.

The Chance

No two days are the same. In this role, you may be:

- Working with a young dynamic team who are developing solutions for optimising vessel propulsion performance and efficiency for a global customer base.

- Working with global naval architects and shipyards to help specifying propulsion packages for new builds and refits.

- You will learn to use software that will predict vessel performance and coordinate with customer requirements to develop tailored propulsion recommendations.

- Develop your project management skills working with VEEM’s engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver customised technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Sales & Customer Support

Engage with customers across recreational, commercial, and defence marine sectors to provide propulsion solutions.

- Propulsion System Specification
Assist in the selection and specification of propellers, shaftline systems, CPP solutions, and associated propulsion equipment.

- Performance Analysis & Problem Solving
You will be trained in interpreting vessel operating conditions, then use vessel performance data and customer feedback to recommend optimal propulsion outcomes.

- Project Coordination
Manage customer enquiries and projects from initial consultation through quotation, order processing, manufacturing coordination, and delivery.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with VEEM’s engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into production outcomes.

- CRM & Enterprise Systems
Utilise enterprise software systems to manage quotations, customer interactions, project tracking, and sales activities.
