Due to strong growth and confirmed local contracts, JAC Civil is actively recruiting for Leading Hand or Skilled Construction Workers.

About The Role

We are looking for a Trades, Leading Hand or Skilled Construction Worker to carry out skilled civil works including:

- Road construction, footpaths, kerb & channel, stormwater, drainage headwalls, and concrete structures

- Read and interpret drawings, set out works with lasers or dumpy levels

- Operate plant equipment (Excavator, Roller, Skid Steer – HR licence advantageous)

- Assist and mentor less experienced workers

- Deliver high quality finishing work and promote safe work practices on site

Key Requirements

- Civil construction experience (road works, drainage, or related projects)

- Current QLD driver’s licence (MC, HR or MR desirable but not essential)

- Excavator or other plant operator tickets

- Certificate III in a relevant trade (e.g., Carpentry, Concreting, or Civil Construction) (desirable but not essential)

- Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings and set out works

- Minimum 1–2 years experience in similar role

- Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and environmental standards

- Physically fit and willing to perform site labouring tasks if required

- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and team focused approach
