The Role

Three Blue Ducks Bellingen is looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant & Events Manager with a strong bar focus to support the Venue Manager in leading daily front-of-house operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help drive smooth service, support team development, and ensure consistently high standards across both restaurant, bar & wedding & events service.

You’ll be confident on the floor during busy service, comfortable across bar operations, and able to lead a team with calm, clear direction in a fast-paced workplace.

Current trade: Thursday dinner, Friday-Sunday lunch & dinner, Monday dinner.

What you’ll be doing

- Supporting daily FOH and bar operations to ensure smooth service

- Leading service from the floor during busy periods, delivering warm, consistent guest-focused hospitality

- Assisting with rostering, stock control and venue administration

- Coordinating and working on weddings and events to ensure they run smoothly and seemlessly

- Supporting training, onboarding and development of FOH team





- Working closely with the kitchen to ensure strong service flow

- Maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness

- Assisting with cash handling and daily reporting

What we’re looking for

- Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role

- Strong bar and beverage knowledge

- Confident leading teams in a high-volume environment

- Calm, organised and solutions-focused under pressure

- Strong communication and team leadership skills

- Passion for hospitality, food and guest experience

- Collaborative, hands-on approach to working with FOH and BOH

- RSA certified (or willing to obtain)
