At R&J; Batteries, safety isn't just a box to tick — it's how we look after our mates, deliver excellence, and do things right the first time. We're on the lookout for a passionate, proactive WHS Advisor to help drive a strong safety culture across Australia and Current Zealand.

About the Role

You'll be the go‑to expert for all things WHS. You'll work closely with managers and staff to reduce risk, prevent injuries, and continuously improve how we operate.

This exciting position comes with a fully maintained company vehicle and ongoing professional development. We want you to be your best, so the company will pay for memberships and training to support self-improvement and remaining up to date with changes within the WHS legislation and industry.

What You'll Be Doing

- Ignite and sustain a culture where safety comes first - always.

- Develop, review and improve WHS policies, procedures, SOPs and training

- Complete risk assessments, incident investigations, and recommend corrective actions

- Coordinate WorkCover claims and Return to Work programs

- Prepare for and support internal and external audits

- Analyse trends, turning data into smarter, safer solutions

- Lead and support Health & Safety Advocates across ANZ

- Build strong relationships with all members of staff as well as external providers

What You'll Bring

- Certificate IV in WHS (or equivalent experience)

- Experience managing ISO 45001

- Sound knowledge of Australian & New Zealand WHS legislation





- Confident communication, influence, and problem‑solving skills

- A hands‑on, practical approach with excellent attention to detail

- A current driver's licence and flexibility for travel inter-states and NZ (average 4-6 weeks) and overnight stays (average 2 nights each trip)
