About Us

Maipac is a family-owned and operated business at the heart of Adelaide's coffee industry. Based in Pooraka, we have spent over 15 years building a reputation for high-quality, trusted products as a partner of Coffee Complex, one of Adelaide's coffee industry leaders.

We specialise in producing Nespresso-compatible capsules, working closely with coffee roasters from bean to capsule, through to personalised branding and packaging ready for distribution. Our capsule manufacturing business is growing quickly, and we are looking for an energetic, self-motivated person to join our fun and professional team.

What We Offer

Join a genuinely family-run business where you're valued as a person, not just a number. We invest in you from day one with hands-on, on-the-job training, so you'll build real, transferable skills in mechanical, electrical and food production work. No two days are the same here — you'll get real variety across maintenance, machine operating, quality control and more, keeping the work interesting and your skills growing.

We offer reliable, full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with no weekend work. As we grow, so do the opportunities for our team, meaning genuine potential to develop your career with us long-term. And because we know skilled, reliable people deserve to be paid accordingly, salary is negotiable based on your experience, skills and qualifications.

The Role

We have a full-time position available for an in-house Machine Operator and Production Technician. You will work across our fill-and-seal packaging lines, keeping equipment running efficiently, monitoring our QC while helping us meet our daily production targets.

Day to day, you will:

• Inspect, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.

• Operate across our fill and seal packaging lines and take part in daily job changes.

• Carry out routine preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

• Run test runs and quality checks to maintain consistent product standards.

• Assist engineering contractors where needed.

• Follow HACCP food safety policies and required housekeeping standards.

• Record production data as needed and suggest ways we can improve efficiency.

About You

You'll have some mechanical aptitude and enjoy hands-on, practical work — whether that's from a trade background, previous factory or production experience. Any exposure to pneumatics, electronics, or automated machinery is a bonus. Experience in the coffee industry or a genuine interest is highly regarded, though not essential.

You should be punctual, well presented, and bring a positive attitude with a strong focus on quality. Good time management and the ability to manage your own workflow are important, as are basic computing skills and comfort working both independently and as part of a team.

Apply through Seek. We look forward to hearing from you.
