Depot Manager - Adelaide

Lead Our Adelaide Freight Operations

South West Freight is a well-established, family-owned transport company with a robust reputation for reliable service and long-term customer relationships. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Depot Manager to lead our Adelaide Less Than Truckload (LTL) operation.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of depot operations, warehouse activities, customer service, administration, and safety compliance. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, supporting your team, and ensuring outstanding service delivery for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop depot staff to achieve operational and service excellence.

- Manage daily freight and warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable outcomes.

- Coordinate freight movements and customer requirements to meet delivery and service expectations.

- Ensure compliance with all WHS, transport, and regulatory requirements.

- Manage labour resources, rostering, leave planning, and productivity performance.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.

- Resolve operational and customer issues in a timely and professional manner.

- Oversee depot administration, inventory control, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.





- Drive a positive safety culture and promote continuous improvement across the operation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven leadership experience within the transport, freight, logistics, or supply chain industry.

- Strong people management skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.

- Sound knowledge of transport operations, WHS requirements, and compliance standards.

- The ability to work autonomously, make decisions confidently, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
