Pool / Spa Technician
About the role

Spa Choice Hobart is seeking a reliable and practical Pool / Spa Technician to join our team in Cambridge, Tasmania.

This is a hands-on role involving the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of pools and spas throughout Southern Tasmania. You will also provide occasional in-store support to our showroom team.

Above all, customer service is our highest priority. We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional and committed to looking after our customers. Pool and spa industry experience is an advantage; however, training will be provided to the right person.

Key responsibilities

- Install, maintain and repair pool and spa equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters and control systems

- Complete routine pool and spa servicing, cleaning and water balancing

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical faults

- Inspect pool and spa systems and provide clear recommendations to customers

- Assist with upgrades and renovations to existing systems

- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and service visits

- Provide friendly, helpful service and practical advice to customers

- Provide in-store support to our showroom team

What we’re looking for

- A current driver’s licence

- A commitment to workplace health and safety

- Previous experience in pool and spa servicing, general maintenance or a related trade is preferred but not essential

Advantageous skills and experience





- Knowledge of pool and spa equipment, water chemistry and safety standards

- Experience with electrical or mechanical systems

- Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals and specifications

- Experience with pool automation or energy-efficient equipment

- A relevant trade qualification OR pool and spa industry certification

- Forklift license preferable (or willing to undertake)
