Profectus is inviting expressions of interest from Multi-Domain Interoperability Engineers for likely upcoming work integrating systems and networks that operate across differing security classifications within Australian Government environments. We are seeking engineers who can design, implement and support secure cross-domain integration and data exchange to a high standard in structured, well-governed settings.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement and support cross-domain integration between systems and networks operating at differing classificationsConfigure and maintain gateways, guards, data diodes and cross-domain solutions for secure information exchangeDevelop and manage secure data exchange, transfer and content inspection mechanismsDefine and document interfaces, data flows and interoperability patterns across domainsImplement boundary protection and controlled information exchange aligned to security policyIntegrate systems using APIs, message brokers and standard data formatsSupport accreditation activities for cross-domain and boundary systemsTroubleshoot and resolve complex interoperability and connectivity issuesAlign solutions to security frameworks such as the ISM and Essential EightProduce and maintain technical documentation, interface control documents and configuration baselinesCollaborate with engineering, security and accreditation teams to deliver compliant solutions




Required ExperienceDemonstrated experience integrating systems and networks operating across differing security classifications or domainsExperience with cross-domain solutions, gateways, guards or data diode technologiesStrong understanding of secure data exchange, boundary protection and controlled information transferExperience defining interfaces, data flows and interoperability patternsExperience integrating systems using APIs, message brokers and common data formatsUnderstanding of network protocols, routing and secure connectivityExperience supporting accreditation and compliance in secure environmentsFamiliarity with security frameworks such as the ISM and Essential EightStrong documentation skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable ExperienceExperience with specific cross-domain solution products and content filtering technologiesExperience delivering within Australian Government environmentsExperience with secure network design and segmentationRelevant networking or security certificationsExperience supporting IRAP assessment or system accreditation
Security Clearance RequirementMust be an Australian CitizenMust have an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance (minimum)Must be willing to obtain an AGSVA NV2 Security Clearance
