Employment Types: Full Time, Part Time, and Sessional for a period of five years with the possibility of extension(s).

Full Time MP Year 1-9: $424,525 - $539,140 p.a pro rata*

*The above salary is as per WA Health System Medical Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement 2024 (inclusive of base salary, PD allowance and 12% superannuation). This is subject to the assessment of qualifications, clinical skills and years of practice.

About Midwest Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Services (MMH & CADS)

A major transformation is underway at Geraldton Health Campus, and we’re inviting a passionate Director Clinical Services – Mental Health to be part the extraordinary transformation. Supported by a $190.3 million redevelopment, the campus is evolving into a centre of excellence for regional healthcare. Brand-new facilities including an Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department and a 15 bed Acute Psychiatric Unit are opening soon.

The Midwest Mental Health and Community Alcohol and Drug Service (MMH&CADS;) works collaboratively across inpatient and community settings to deliver specialist care. Services include pharmacological, behavioural and therapeutic interventions, delivered through a strong multidisciplinary approach.

The MMH & CADS is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health and alcohol and other drug services across the Midwest region. The service brings together diverse cultural, consumer, peer and clinical perspectives to support service excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.



The service also fosters an inclusive and supportive workplace for staff and their communities.

Key functions:

- - Strategic planning and service reform to shape the future of mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) services to improve outcomes for consumers and communities.
- Workforce development to strengthen the capability, growth and sustainability of the mental health and AOD workforce.
- Safety, quality and continuous improvement to ensure services are safe, effective and responsive to community needs.
- Performance monitoring and evaluation to measure service delivery, performance and outcomes to drive excellence.
- Cultural, corporate and clinical governance to maintain high standards of accountability, culturally responsive practice and clinical care.
- Virtual clinical support to provide advice and guidance to clinicians and consumers across the region.
- Diversity and inclusion to foster an inclusive workplace through employment, development and mentoring opportunities for people from all backgrounds.

About The Role

As the Director Clinical Services for Mental Health, you will provide senior leadership, expert clinical governance, and strategic oversight for Mental Health Services in Geraldton Hospital. Working collaboratively with the Executive Director Medical Services and District Directors you will ensure services are safe, contemporary, evidence‑based, and equitable.
