- Part-time 11.4 hours per week (7.6 hours on a Wednesday 3.8 on an agreed day), fixed-term contract to November 2026 (parental leave cover)

- $84,618 – 128,887 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation

As a Hairdressing Teacher, you’ll play a hands on role in guiding students from diverse backgrounds as they develop practical skills and strong industry knowledge. Your current industry experience will be highly valued and embedded across the teaching and learning journey.
To be successful, you’ll hold a Certificate III in Hairdressing (or higher) and have at least three years of current industry experience and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
The must haves
Mandatory requirements
- An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area or approved equivalent qualifications, approved industry experience and the ability to demonstrate currency in vocational workplace competencies
- An AQF4 or higher vocational teaching qualification - for example, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116
- Employee Victorian Working with Children and satisfactory Police Check
- Current driver’s licence
Highly desirable requirements
- An approved course of teacher training accredited at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 5 or Level 6, with significant teaching experience, including TAFE postings
- Substantial experience using Microsoft Office products and relevant industry software and programs
